Ammunition may be able to give weight away all round and repel the challenges of Maori Legend and Golden Oak. Finzi is a past winner of this race, Hazeljack attracted support last time and Present M' Lord has to be on the short-list but was a trifle disappointing last time. The selection has always looked in need of a trip and found 2 miles 5 at Bangor last time on the short side. He has to carry plenty of weight but doesn't look too badly handicapped and should go well if he acts on this testing ground. Maori Legend is progressing at a rate of knots and a 10lb rise for her ready Wincanton success may not be enough to stop her from going in again. Her jumping isn't always foot perfect though and she could lose her rhythm at a crucial stage on the back straight if mistakes creep in. Golden Oak has a little more to prove than that pair but is a heavy ground winner who stays the trip well enough. His yard appears to have turned the corner after a quiet spell and he could well run a big race; the vote, though, goes to Ammunition.
