This is pretty modest fayre but, from a shortlist containing It's Rumoured, The Local, Croker, La Marette, All On My Own and Final Lap, we will side with a sporting each-way option in La Marette. The selection ran well back over hurdles last time when racing over a longer trip. She is only a seller winner but this race is modest and she might just give you a run for your money at fair odds. It's Rumoured certainly has form enough to go well here but has been absent for 438 days, while The Local can be given a chance based on bits of his form. Croker could be a very big price but he won twice in December of last year and is now just two pound above a winning mark and showed up fairly well on his last outing. All On My Own put up a reasonable effort over a slightly longer trip last time and might grab some place money, while Final Lap is now back to a winning mark, although that success came in August 2002. However, in a modest heat, he might go well. Of the others, Bid Spotter was placed off today's mark in May but that was on quicker going. This spins us back to what is a sporting selection in La Marette.
