Verdict

KINGSCROFT is lower in the ratings than when scoring at Chester last summer and is taking quite a drop in class. He was in front of Mr David when runner-up at Catterick on his penultimate start and can take this lower-grade event. Barons Spy could have done without a 2lb rise after being beaten at Bath but My Kingdom is very consistent at this level and it will be a surprise if he's not in the shake-up. Rigolleto, who was placed off a mark of 90 at this time a year ago, is down to 76 for this so has to be considered. Avonrose was behind My Kingdom over 6f at Wolverhampton but returned to the Turf and beat a big field at Newbury last month. She's just 5lb higher and looks the main threat.
