New Decade has been running well enough on fast ground and hasn't performed badly when facing testing conditions and must have a chance here. FIRST REBELLION has only won once, on ground with plenty of give at Chepstow in August. He's only 1lb higher here and looks ready to strike again under Franny Norton. He was just behind Seventeen Seventy back at Chepstow earlier this month and can gain revenge on the revised terms. M J Woodward, whose two career victories have been at Southwell, has dropped to a reasonable mark and there were signs of a revival at Hamilton last time. First Fast Now was in very good form last summer and the handicapper has slowly released his grip.
