PISTOLET DOVE was pulled up behind High Jack when the pair met at Towcester in May but the pair's fortunes have since reversed, with High Jack falling on his Uttoxeter return and Pistolet Dove making a winning debut for his new yard at Ludlow. Ritchie McLernon gave the quirky customer a superb ride that day so it's encouraging that he's on board again and, as it seems leaving Philip Hobbs' yard for a smaller operation has had a positive effect on the gelding, he's taken to defy a small rise in the weights. Flemish Invader is another who keeps something to himself, evident again at Worcester when he travelled sweetly only to find little, but when he does consent to give his all he'll be winning off this mark. Brimham Boy is entitled to need this, Quipe Me Posted has to leave his return behind while Glengarra, at 13 years of age, may struggle in his follow-up bid.
