In depth

Verdict

In the finale, Royal Flynn gets the vote ahead of General Flumpa and Royal Premier. Royal Flynn caught the eye staying on late at Newcastle last time, having been a little edgy before the race. Well weighted on his best form of 2005, he could go well today. Royal Premier, who showed improved form to win at Chepstow last time, rates as a danger, as does General Flumpa, a course winner that remains on a competitive mark at this type of level. Will The Till is capable of running well from his current mark and he seemed to take to blinkers last time, while Agilete would have been given a better but for the facts that he has never won on Turf and his soft-ground form is not strong. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Royal Flynn.
