A low grade staying event which will take little winning. Green Ginger comes into this in fair form and must go well with David Nolan taking 5lbs off his back. He has yet to run over this trip, but he shaped as though he needed a stiffer test when runner-up here on his latest outing. If he fails to stay Kingsdon looks the best alternative. A dual winner last month, he at least knows how to win unlike the majority of these. Others to consider are Forever My Lord and Warning Reef, even though the latter hasn't won for over two years. It's sad to see Livius competing at this level and this former useful handicapper, who has shown no sparkle for a while, may be better off retired.
