This race lacks strength in depth and gives Mary Boone an ideal opportunity to get off the mark. She showed more than enough on her debut, behind some useful fillies, to suggest she is up to winning a maiden. Ally Mcbeal will be suited by this stiffer test, having been found out by the sharp six-furlongs at Thirsk, while Veda's Rainbow doesn't look quite good enough to win a maiden and would be better off in a handicap. Newcomer Revenante is interesting, as she is out of a Dancing Brave mare and is a half-sister to several winners.
