Counterclaim has the breeding to win this on his debut at the expense of Pha Mai Blue and Park Royal. The selection is a nicely bred individual by Pivotal. We saw a classy looking Godolphin winner by the same stallion win at Kempton on Wednesday night and Counterclaim surely fits into the same catagory. Pha Mai Blue has showed promise on each of his three runs. Each time he has come up against some good looking types and it will only be a matter of time before he gets his head in front but may once again have one too good here. Park Royal ran well to finish third in a fillies maiden at Goodwood on her debut but she failed to improve on that at Goodwood on her following run. That can often happen and she still warrants respect here. But for the winner we return to Counterclaim.
