Stir Crazy is slipping gradually down the weights again now and looks capable of winning again from thid mark of 57, while Rosie Cross can go close and don't rule out either Come What May, or Minnow. Stir Crazy's last success came over this trip on good to soft at Folkestone, but he has won on the allweather at both Wolverhampton and Lingfield in the past, and now back to 3lb higher than that most recent win he looks capable of going in again. Come What May is a filly that reserves her best for the minimum trip and won a Newmarket handicap over it in June. She failed to handle the slow ground at Musselburgh last time, so that is perhaps best forgotten and from 3lb higher she'd have a decent chance. Rosie Cross has been thereabouts in recent outings in minor handicaps and handles an artificial surface well enough. From the same mark of 58 here we expect her to be competitive, while Minnow is back on the mark from which she won over c&d last December and the shrewd Stuart Williams applies blinkers for the first-time, so the market must be carefully watched for a clearer guide to her chance. On the face of it she could go very well now, but preference is for Stir Crazy.
