Salient ran better on the Polytrack at Lingfield last time and would have every chance if able to reproduce that form back on turf but a safer option seems to be DESERT DREAMER, who gets the vote ahead of Purus. The last mentioned has been running consistently well of late and he has solid claims racing off the same mark as when second at Folkestone at the beginning of the month. Ocean Transit has not progressed from a promising reappearance run and is hard to recommend, while Kelamon is probably better over six furlongs than this evenings trip.(IRE), 7/1 , 7/1 Bold Cross won comfortably at Haydock on Thursday evening and has every chance of defying the penalty for that success but this may come too soon for him. Mick Channon's Compton's Eleven has run better in each of his last two starts but he probably needs some more help from the handicapper and a safer option looks to be Desert Dreamer from the yard of David Evans. The eight-year-old lost no caste in defeat behind Wellington Square at Goodwood in Friday evening and a similar effort in this contest would see him go close.
