made all, hit 5th and 3 out, ridden and left clear 2 out, hard driven flat, all out
always in rear, tailed off and pulled up before 5th
prominent, chased winner from 3rd, hit next, ridden and mistake 3 out, looked held when blundered and unseated rider 2 out
in touch, ridden and outpaced 4 out, left 2nd and 10 lenghts down 2 out, rallied and ran on well flat, just failed
with leader to 3rd, remained close up, ridden approaching 5th, weakened 4 out
A disappointing turn out for the prize money on offer but connections of Kadarann won't be complaining. The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding has progressed well over fences winning five of his last seven starts including a convincing nine-lengths defeat of the smart Europa at Perth last month. The five-year-old should be too good for his rivals on these terms although Demasta and Hit And Run will be no pushovers. The former has few miles on the clock considering his age and has landed his last two starts at Cheltenham and Sandown in decisive fashion while the latter has won two of his four starts over the larger obstacles and faced a stiff task in Listed company at Aintree last time.
