With Soul City having won a Group 3 in France at the weekend, it is hard to ignore the form of Dark Mischief's debut victory at Windsor and he is fancied to have too many guns for Brierty, Lucky Numbers and Bold Account. The last named is consistent and, as he is chasing a hat-trick, the son of Bold Fact has to merit plenty of respect. He handles cut in the ground and looks ready for this step up in grade. Lucky Numbers showed a great battling spirit to win at Thirsk in August seems to be getting better with each run. Six furlongs should not be a problem on breeding and he can be on the premises should the selection fail to shine for any reason. Brierty is also worth a mention, as she showed great improvement last time out and, as a previous course and distance winner, she cannot be discounted. However, all bearings lead back to Dark Mischief on the evidence available and Henry candy's charge is fully expected to be a class above this lot if he progresses as expected.
