Henry Island can make a bold bid to gain a third-successive win and gets the nomination over Opportune. Thirteen pounds higher now than for the first of those wins, partly by virtue of having to carry a penalty, he can make a bold show to bring up the hat-trick. Course and distance winner, Opportune, is now seven pounds higher than for that victory but can still go well. The Varlet is improving and, even though the his second last time was in a race run at a muddling pace, some of his maiden form reads fairly well. Court One looks held on the first of Henry Island's recent Warwick wins. Sashay can be given a chance on the back of his Nottingham win in May from a slightly higher mark, while Lady Laureate is well handicapped on the best of form but that was two years ago. It's Henry Island, then, to bring up the hat-trick.
