Carcinetto carries a six pound penalty for his latest win at Kempton and is taken to win again at the expense of Goodbye and Pendulum Star. The selection has a better record on the all weather than he does on the turf favouring Wolverhampton as his most successful track. His only turf win came at Bath nearly two years ago but we feel he has conditions in his favour to score his second turf win. Goodbye will pose as the biggest threat to his chances having caught the eye on both his last two runs. The handicapper though has raised him five pounds for his latest run and that will not make life any easier for him. Pendulum Star will benefit for his seasonal reappearance last month as he failed to sparkle that day. On the evidence of his form at the back end of the last flat season he would have a real chance. So if back to his best he could be interesting but for the winner we return to Carcinetto.
