Verdict

Maire Banrigh, an improver over hurdles, made a successful start to her chasing career at Stratford but last season’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle second THOMAS DARBY will be a short price to make a winning start over fences as he has the potential to go to the very top. Olly Murphy also runs Mon Port but he didn’t appear to enjoy his chase debut at Sedgefield. Esprit De Somoza is a fair hurdler and won at Taunton in March, though has changed stables again since a beaten favourite at Exeter in March.
