Verdict

Successful in a bumper here last season, Wilde About Oscar had the proverbial ton in hand when making a winning start over hurdles at Uttoxeter but he has to give 6lb to the equally well-regarded BOTHWELL BRIDGE. Nicky Henderson’s gelding also had useful bumper form and he is bred to appreciate the step up in trip on his first run over hurdles. Fraternel beat the 137-rated Fix Sun at Fakenham in the spring but it may not be wise to take that form at face value and Alan King also runs Major Dundee. Will Sting won a Huntingdon bumper last month and looks best of the rest.
