Verdict

Western Rambler made a winning start for the in-form Keith Dalgleish here 12 days ago but a penalty means he’ll have to shoulder a big weight today on heavy ground, though Billy Garritty’s claim will aid his cause. Fitness will have to be taken on trust with several of his likely market rivals including Comber Mill and Barnay while Dunly was chasing last season, though Brian Hughes keeps the partnership intact. It was heavy going when OISHIN got back to winning ways at Carlisle in March and Maurice Barnes is still potentially well treated despite a 7lb rise.
