    Verdict

BRECCBENNACH sets the standard on his form in Ireland for John Oxx. He dead-heated for second behind Ballydoyle's Rain God at Dundalk in October and can make a winning start for new connections. Jockey bookings suggest the returning Pleasure Bent is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Velox while Paris Rose, Peninsula and Tenor are others expected to do better this year. Jimmy Sewell has been thereabouts in a couple of all-weather bumpers and could prove best of the rest on his debut on the Flat while Quadriga will be pressing for a place again.
