Verdict

From a shortlist containing My Will, Le Jaguar, True Mariner and Liverpool Echo, the vote goes to My Will. My Will came into the season with high hopes and started off in fine style when winning at Market Rasen. He then blotted his copybook with a first-race unseated rider when a short-priced favourite at Cheltenham six days ago. However, we are quickly prepared to forgive that error and he rates a solid choice to get back to winning ways today. His stablemate Le Jaguar, a winner in France, looks to be his biggest rival. Liverpool Echo is also a winning French import so he will know his job, while much as four-time Flat winner Sailing Through has shown some ability over hurdles, much more is needed today, and it may be left to True Mariner, yet another winning French import, to claim one of the minor berths. A very interesting race, then, but it can go to My Will.
