Verdict

Three miles, good ground and testing tracks have brought the best out of NICKY TAM. The gelding has looked a reformed character the last three times, possibly due to the application of a tongue tie too, but has inevitably been hit hard by the assessor to the tune of 23lb for successes at Carlisle and Hexham. The handicapper may have his say here but this is not the toughest of asks and the Hogarth charge can complete the three-timer. Cobbler's Queen undoubtedly has ability but her chasing exploits have been hampered by clumsy fencing. She would be the prime threat with a fluent round. Jacko's Boy did well enough on his chasing debut this week and looks next best.
