The Bushkeeper was having his first start since winning the 2002 Kim Muir when falling in this year's renewal behind stablemate Juveigneur and Nicky Henderson's gelding is probably best watched in a race where preference is for Grey Report, who gets the verdict over Bee An Bee. The selection is not the most straightforward of rides and backers will undoubtedly have their hearts in their mouths when the gelding passes the paddock as he often tries to run out but Richard Johnson gets on well with the eight-year-old, who looks to be well-handicapped on his hurdles form. Bee An Bee is an obvious danger on the evidence of his last time out second to Red Devil Robert at Newbury but has gone up another 4lbs for that, while Spring Grove looks to be in the grip of the handicapper at present. John Best's Avalanche is gradually slipping to a fair mark but as given little sign of encouragement of late and preference is for Grey Report in the hope that he is on his best behaviour today.
