CARDINGTON can take this race at the expense of Rash Moment and Even Flo. Sue Smith does have two in the race but the ten-year-old has a very capable 7lb amateur aboard and had in his earlier days shown a distinct aptitude for the prevailing conditions. Rash Moment probably needs this trip these days and his win over 2m3f was probably more down to the frailties of his rivals rather than any persuasion from Tony McCoy. Jason Maguire continues to be underestimated over chase fences and he will partner Even Flo this afternoon. The mare is a winner of low grade events in the past on a similar surface. Lord Alfred had lost his way with Mouse Morris in Ireland but seems to have discovered a new zest for the game with current connections. There is rain forecast in the next 24 hours and on the face of it, Incorporation will not mind a drop or two arriving at Uttoxeter. A trappy contest and for the winner we side with Cardington.
