Verdict

STARBURST DIAMOND does have to give weight away all round with a penalty to carry for his win at Bangor but Alan King's gelding may well be up to the task and gets the vote to resume winning ways with the main dangers rated as Cast Cada and Gypsy George. The last mentioned was good value for his win over fences here when last seen in May and has an obvious chance if he can reproduce that form over hurdles. Tim Walford's gelding has yet to confirm that he is as good over timber as he has yet to race over the smaller obstacles so he may be best watched. Don McCain's runners are beginning to find their form so Comhla Ri Coig has to be considered, while Another Winnie has shown only a modicum of ability in bumpers and is hard to back with any confidence first time out over hurdles. Charlie Mann's runners can do little wrong at present and his runner here Cast Cada has to be of some interest but he would need to improve on all known form to trouble Starburst Diamond, who looks the one to beat.
