In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest here and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Lord Rosskit, Positano and Diktatit and the vote is given to Lord Rosskit. The selection won well last time out when beating Spa Wells, granted he has a penalty for that win but he looks a progressive type and he is taken to defy the handicapper under conditions that suit. Positano rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Arresting but sill his best form is with more cut in the ground and he is passed over for that reason. Diktatit was behind the selection last time but it would be no surprise if he finished closer here if ridden with more restraint. Kingscourt Lad was a fair second behind Earl Of Spectrum last time and is another with place claims but he often finds less than expected off the bridle. Southern Bazaar would have a chance on his best form but he disappointed for no apparent reason last time out so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Kahysera is clearly thought capable of better and should be noted in the market but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Lord Rosskit to minimum stakes.
