BERNARD, Two Miles West and Major Euro are the three to focus on here, with Bernard taken to follow up his success last time. The O'Neill-McCoy partnership is represented here by Two Miles West. His last success came almost two years ago, but as a consequence he has crashed down the handicap and may soon arrive at a winning mark. It would be best to wait to see some signs of his old talent however before giving him the vote. Major Euro's last three successes have been at big odds, with the remainder of his efforts mediocre. A case in point was his success last time, which had not even been hinted at. He can go in again at long odds, but probably not here and at some unknown future date. After a lay off of a year, Bernard was pulled up on a couple of occasions over hurdles, before springing a surprise win over fences last time. That was only his second outing over the bigger obstacles, and he may have found his forte. In a race where there are a number of question marks against his opponents, a chance is taken that Bernard can win again.
