In depth

Verdict

DESQUE DE L’ISLE came right back to form over this trip at Lingfield and his yard is still going great guns. He is still theoretically ahead of the handicapper even though today’s going may not be ideal. Thor De Cerisy hasn’t really taken to fences so far while Morning Spirit has never raced over a trip this short over the larger obstacles. Eaton Collina lost a shoe at Wetherby but that was still a disappointing reappearance, though he’ll strip fitter here. Sure Touch still looks a few pounds too high but Rath Gaul Hill looks the type to make a better chaser than hurdler.
