Legal Lunch will lack for nothing in the saddle and should go close in a competitive affair, with Mythical King, Major Drive and Undeniable just three others in with claims. Legal Lunch has a decent racing weight considering the form that he has shown so far this season, including back-to-back wins at Fontwell and more recently a narrow defeat at Newbury when ridden by Barry Geraghty. His detractors will claim that he is quirky sort who perhaps should have prevailed at the Bershire track after hitting the front on the run-in, but even so that was a fair effort. This former middle-distance winner on the Flat is on a good mark at present and if he can brush up his jumping just a bit, should give backers a good run. Mythical King made the most of the testing conditions and stiff track when scoring at ascot the time before last but probably found the faster going against him at Haydock three weeks ago. The extra trip and give underfoot here will be very much in his favour and Richard Lee's charge is another that should go well. Major Drive was a disappointment at Haydock on his last start considering his impressive success at Sedgefield earlier and he should be given another chance, while Undeniable underlined his stamina when scoring over three miles at Market Rasen and can make his presence felt. Carapuce has more to here against mainly older opposition, and a bigger threat may be Count Tony whose form is a bit hit and miss, but who is very capable of taking a hand in proceedings. Despite winning with Sporazene at Cheltenham, Paul Nicholls always does better with his chasers, so Joyieux Royal is opposable. There are many in with chances but an each-way bet on Legal Lunch may reap dividends.
