Demi Beau can make his mark over fences at the expense of Never, Sachsenwalzer and Tonic du Charmil. Demi Beau was head and shoulders above these over hurdles when trained by Charlie Mann but always seemed to have one problem or another. The switch to Evan Williams saw him run very well on his debut for the yard at Worcester last time though, and he could have a bright future over fences. He raced a bit too keenly early on during his chase debut, but once Christian Williams got him to settle he strode out well, finding only Tighe Caster too good at the finish. He had Never behind in third that day and on the same terms should again have the measure of Jonjo O'Neill's charge who has been a bit disappointing since being put over fences. Strictly on a line through Never, Sachsenwalzer has the beating of the selection, having finished eight lengths ahead of the latter when scoring at Bangor, but he now has to give six-pounds to Demi Beau. Tonic du Charmil looked one to follow when successful over the course and distance earlier in the season, but he has a tendency of finding one too good. Demi Beau has the class, and can make it tell here.
