Approaching Land needs to jump better but in the hope that he does, Mick Easterby's charge is selected ahead of Wise Tale, with Reflex Blue and In Good Faith others worth a mention at least. Approaching Land is still a maiden, but since being dropped to this level has definitely looked capable of opening his account. He can be considered unlucky of late as he was was in contention and going as well as anything at both Fakenham and Sedgefield when coming to grief, and a clear round should see him finally come out on top. The fact that he is not a safe conveyance means he is not one to lump on though, and only a small wager is advised. Wise Tale has gone backwards since his win last year but Peter Niven will no doubt get to the bottom of his problems, and the booking of Graham Lee catches the eye. Reflex Blue takes a drop in grade and is a past course winner, while In Good faith returns from a break and surely does not have any improvement at the age of 13. All in all, this is a race not worth deliberating too long over, and we return to Approaching Land as the possible answer.
