Probably the most competitive race on the card to end with and John Mackie's Accepting looks capable of defying his welter burden. A winner over three and a quarter miles at Huntingdon back in May, this trip will hold no fears for him, neither will the fast ground. He looks reasonably treated off just a 6lbs higher mark and with the experienced David Crosse doing the steering, he looks the one to be with. The lightly weighted Excellent Vibes will need to step up on his defeat of Dynamic Lifter here last month if he to take a hand in this, while Captain O'Neill has been a little in and out of late and probably isn't one to rely on. Dam The Breeze has done most of his racing over fences in the past couple of years, but he isn't badly treated on his form for Heather Dalton back in 2001 when landing a three timer, one over hurdles off a mark 2lbs lower than this. Free To Run may be better suited to a slower surface, while Johnston's Art looks to have been harshly treated having been raised 15lbs for beating Mr Cavallo at Perth. Alvaro is interesting as he comes into this having run well enough in a staying handicap at at Warwick on the flat last month. He does stay well and handles the ground and may be the one to chase Accepting home.
