This will take little winning and provides Little Pip with an excellent opportunity to get off the mark over timber. A winner of a 10-furlong handicap on fast ground in Ireland, he has shaped as though he could win a small event, such as this over hurdles when finishing third in a couple of similar races to todays. He will not mind the fast ground and is taken to see off Irish raider Sammagefromtenesse, who returns to the company he was last successful in. He has struggled in better races since and although 4lbs higher than when last winning, he must enter calculations. There isn't much between the selection and Dinofelis on their running at Huntingdon, but that was only Mighty Pip's second outing over hurdles, so he should be capable of some improvement. Of the others both Timidjar and The Count have ability, but the former hasn't won for over three years, while the latter was quirky on the flat, takes a fierce grip in his races and is easy to pass over.
