GLIMMER OF LIGHT will likely be a short price here but we make apologies with siding with the gelding who is the one to beat in this Handicap Chase meaning the likes of Red Jester and Midnight Diamond will have to battle it out for minor honours. The strong selection was a winner by 16 lengths over course and distance last time in a very similar race. He's up just five pounds for that success and with a 20% strike rate over this trip he should take all the beating on his preferred ground. Red Jester won over course and distance on his only visit to this track two starts ago. He ran a solid race under his increased mark next time up and he is still weighted to be competitive having won off a rating just three pounds lighter in the past. Midnight Diamond is falling down the weights but has at least been running with some credit and as a result could be off a good mark. At his very best Millton Des Bieffes is in with a chance at some prize money racing off a winning rating but overall this looks like a good opportunity for Glimmer Of Light.
