Verdict

Edgebury got off the mark at Towcester last month and is only 3lb higher here. He has to go on the short-list along with Speedy Directa, who has won at Hereford and Towcester recently. Oh Landino was third at Newcastle at the start of last month and followed that up with a decent effort on the Flat at Musselburgh three weeks ago, while Jomade showed his first glimpse of form when fourth at Chepstow. But there may be more to come from the lightly-raced DANNY COOL over this longer trip as he was noted staying on nicely over 2m1f at Sedgefield on his handicap debut and he's 3lb lower now.
