Not a great race to ponder but Bob Buckler's horses are running relatively well and Royal Fontenailles can land this at the expense of Brother Ted and Sahaat. A useful handicapper in France, he showed an aptitude for soft going there and having had an outing this term for new connections, he wouldn't have to be anything out of the ordinary to win this. Brother Ted kept on admirably to hold on to a second place in a recent seller. The race appears so modest today that this piece of form is actually among the better ones. Sahaat is watched in the market given the very positive booking of Andy Thornton aboard this middle-distance convert from the flat. King of Goatland has a good bumper performance to his record having chased home the ill-fated Lord Gale at Haydock last term. Own Line is markedly dropped in grade having been overfaced at Wetherby last time out. A modest contest in summary that is there for the taking for Royal Fontenailles.
