In depth

Verdict

A wide open bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these events the market will be very informative, but the main protagonists look to be Little Al, Costa Courta and Arturo Uno and the narrow vote is given to Costa Courta. The selection was a fair fifth behind Cape Tribulation last time out. He is sure to strip fitter and under conditions that suit he looks the one to be on. Little Al rates the main danger as he won well last time when beating Super Martina. However this looks more competitive and he looks vulnerable under his penalty. Arturo Uno beat Aliminos last time but he is another that may struggle under a penalty. Palm Reader is an Oscar gelding, related to several winning jumpers and bumper winners including high-class hurdler Glenahven Nugget, and he should be watched in the market. Of the remainder, Cryptic Bert hails from a yard that can ready a newcomer so he could go well at a price, but for the winner we return to Costa Courta who is taken to put his experience to good use.
