Verdict

EVERGREEN AND RED sets the standard from a form perspective and the official handicapper presently rates him 9lb superior to likely market rival Baron Wild ahead of this assignment. That being said, the latter has taken time to come to hand for Henry De Bromhead following a spell on the Flat with Jessica Harrington so improvement isn’t out of the question. Modestus was bred to be useful on the Flat given his dam won the Musidora Stakes so Cian Collins has a nice project to work on. Leylani was not knocked about at Sligo and can do better tonight while Light Fury is dropped significantly in trip. Betty Dutton will have learned plenty for her first taste of action at Roscommon.
