      Verdict

A large field but not too many are fancied and SAMUI is expected to prove hard to beat. A decisive winner on bumper debut, he was thought worthy of contesting the Grade 2 Aintree bumper and was far from disgraced in coming home an eight-length ninth of 20. He's since made a pleasing hurdling debut behind a Willie Mullins hotpot at Tipperary with the rest well beaten off. He should improve again and this rates a good opportunity. The Henry De Bromhead yard is ticking along nicely and Bojak should come on for a promising Cork debut and be competitive on that evidence. Ta Na La also put in a good shift first time up and has each-way claims along with Dark Note and Spy who finished third and fourth respectively behind the selection at Tipperary.
