In depth

Verdict

Flementime has always been regarded as a future chaser so everything she achieved over hurdles has been a bonus. But she ran yesterday at Doncaster and would have to concede 13lb, including his rider's claim, to PURE SCIENCE (NAP) here. Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge overcame several mistakes to make a winning debut over fences at Uttoxeter and the testing conditions will be in his favour. Theatrebar was only caught right on the line by Ned Stark at Huntingdon and he's another who will improve as that was his opening run over the bigger obstacles. Garrahalish scored over hurdles here in December and over fences last month. He wasn't disgraced in a better race at Ascot next time and isn't out of this.
