Verdict

It makes sense to take on Springfield Raki and we'll look to PERSIAN GATES to lower his colours as he may provide a little more value than Irish point winner Traffic Control. Springfield Raki may just be having a pipe opener here ahead of a hurdling campaign and will do well to defy a penalty on the softest ground that he's encountered. There are some stoutly bred newcomers in opposition and the obvious one is Tom George's Traffic Control who went for 130,000 gns following his 25 length win in a point at Ballyragget. Those with racecourse experience may be able to improve on the form they've shown to date and the market should shed some light on the contest. Most of the newcomers make some sort of appeal but we'll side with the Bealby runner as the trainer can ready one to score first time and this track has provided him with one of his rare bumper winners; Persian Gates could be another.
