Spectrometer has the ability to win this claimer at the expense of Ask The Gatherer and Reidwell. The selection reverts back to hurdles and a drop in grade after a chase campaign. He was not disgraced over the larger obstacles and in fact he was not beaten far at Market Rasen on his latest outing. His hurdles form from two years ago looks a cut above some of his rivals so if regaining some of his old enthusiasm he would have to have every chance of getting his head in front once again. Ask The Gatherer was in winning action albeit in selling action here over slightly shorter. Course form is always a bonus and even though this race looks more competitive he can go well once more. Reidwell comes from a top yard and is unexposed with only ten runs in total. He was seen over fences for the first time last time out but reverts back to the smaller obstacles today. He has shown enough in better races than this so any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to Spectrometer.
