Star Time has been the model of consistency this term but has suffered at the hands of the handicapper as a result and may have to settle for a minor role behind Steve The Fish who gets the nod over The River Joker. The last mentioned was well held behind Union Deux over course and distance earlier this month but is entitled to come on for the run and goes well round here. David Gandolfo's Couldn't Be Phar seemingly showed improved form at Wincanton last time but has been hit with a 6lb rise for that effort which seems harsh, while Rudolf Rassendyll became disappointing last term and is probably best watched for the moment. The Pecker Dunn is lbs higher than when scoring over course and distance when last seen in February and has claims if fit enough for his return but preference is for Steve The Fish. Jim Old's gelding also has an absence to overcome but is well treated on his best, goes well round here and hails from a stable capable of readying a horse after a lay off.
