In depth

Verdict

Victom's Chance burned a few fingers when beaten on his debut, but this looks an easier opportunity for him and he should be able to get off the mark. Noel Chance's gelding was heavily supported for his debut at Warwick earlier this month, but could only manage second to the race-fit Netherley. It was still a decent effort, and with that under his belt this half brother to the smart Murphy's Cardinal should be hard to beat here. Of the newcomers, Colin Tinkler's Supreme Leader gelding Sunset Light and Alex hales' Good Thyne gelding, Thyne Supreme, make most appeal, especially if attracting any interest in the betting ring. But Victim's Chance looks a nice prospect and it would be a big surprise if he was beaten here.
