Verdict
Blue Splash gets the confident vote here with Longueville Manor and Mr Woodentop rating the main dangers. The selection has been in the form of his life of late and although beaten last time out when second behind Chamacco he had a welter burden of 12 stone 2 pounds on that occasion. His useful conditional jockey takes off a handy seven pounds here and under conditions that suit he is taken to regain the winning thread. Longueville Manor rates the main danger on his latest second behind Legally Fast but he has had plenty of chances off similar marks without taking one of late and he is passed over with this in mind. Mr Woodentop is another that could go well on his best form but he returns to handicaps off what looks a high enough mark and he may just need the run after a 224-day absence. Great As Gold is fit from the flat and has conditions to suit and could go well at a price but he is hard to win with and with this in mind for the winner we are happy to return to Blue Splash who looks sure to run his race.
