A tough race to call here punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Fort Ord, Blue Sovereign and Monsieur Georges and the tentative nomination is given to Fort Ord. The selection won well last time out when beating Wise Tale. The step up in trip looks sure to bring about more improvement and under similar conditions he is taken to win again. Blue Sovereign rates the main danger on his latest third behind Westfield Dancer but he just gave the impression he was in the handicapper's grip on that occasion and he looks opposable on that basis. Monsieur Georges is another worthy of respect on his latest fourth behind Fieldsofclover but he has had plenty of chances off similar marks of late without taken one and again he is opposed. Earcomesannie is game and consistent and is sure to run her race but she is rising in the weights for getting beat and again she is opposable. Minsgill Mans looks weighted up to his best while Tommy Carson would be a danger to all if the ground becomes soft but for the winner are happy to return to the progressive Fort Ord.
