In depth

Verdict

Jamie Codd has been booked for Ballybough Native, a half-brother to a winning hurdler and two winners between the flags. Gunnery Officer is a half-brother to Flat and jumps winner Black Kalanisi while Andy Slattery's FIADH is by Fame And Glory and the first foal of a winning hurdler from a very smart family. The latter may be good enough though Sam Curling has a pair of entries with Derek O'Connor booked for En Avant, a half-brother to two winning jumpers in France. Focus Point is worth a market check as he cost €50,000 and is the first foal of a mare from the family of Champion Hurdler Binocular. Tom Hamilton travels to the meeting for one booked ride, Turnthelightsoff, a son of Dylan Thomas.
