In depth

Verdict

It's good to see John Oxx back among the winners but Ballerina Rose will need to show much more than she has to date to get involved. Creative Talent looked certain to be suited by a much stiffer test when staying on strongly over 1m1f here in October but whether he will get it here on this quick ground is unknown. The superbly-bred KING OF ARAGON came up against a smart prospect in Edelpour on his reappearance at Gowran and though beaten on merit he looked more in need of the run so should have come on enough to take this. Jim Bolger keeps firing the winners in so the newcomer Jaleo, who cost 180,000 euros and is by New Approach out of a Listed winner, is one to keep an eye on.
