Independence Day showed the benefit of his opening run at the Curragh with a very impressive victory at Down Royal and though needing to step-up markedly here looks to have the quality to do so. However, SHRILL (NAP) was equally impressive on her debut at Cork where she was always travelling nicely. This race was stated as her target post-race and she can remain unbeaten. Jim Bolger has a wealth of juvenile talent but Taisce Naisiunta has failed to impress since her debut victory on soft ground here in April. Promised Money just got up in the closing stages over this trip at Cork then appeared to find 6f stretching her stamina in a Listed contest at Naas.
