Lar's Lass won a maiden hunter's race at Cork and was by no means disgraced behind the useful Lord Schnitzel at Tramore. Clonmel winner Grange Island was narrowly beaten behind top hunter Billaway at Naas but hasn't replicated that form subsequently. SHANTOU SHOW won a point at Kirkistown then easily landed a Downpatrick maiden hunter's event last month. There looks plenty more to come and a hat-trick beckons though Brave Starlight has Derek O'Connor's presence to aid his cause as he did when successful at Quakerstown. Asian Master followed a double between the flags with a very good run in a Cork bumper so looks an obvious threat.
