In depth

Verdict

Clonmeen sets a good standard having been a very good fourth in a Limerick Grade 3 in March but faces some smart hurdlers turning to fences. HUBRISKO was placed in a Grade 3 novices' hurdle on this track but his pedigree is all about jumping fences and he can make a successful debut. Maxxum beat a huge field in a Pertemps Qualifier at Leopardstown and though he disappointed in the Final at Cheltenham will be primed for a new career over the bigger obstacles. Walk Away was a smart hurdler back in 2019 where he also ran in very strong novice chase company. He returns after a long break but should soon be making his mark.
